' Prime Paving are a fantastic company.   Andrew and Jay together with their team were our sanity savers.   We had encountered an experience which left us with huge issues, but Andrew and Mark came along, took up and re-laid our whole installation and we now have the beautiful garden we hoped for almost 11 months before.   I can't recommend them highly enough.   They also suggested adding the cobbles around our flowerbeds which we hadn't thought of and it' has made the garden perfect. They are not only delightful people, they are experts in their field.  Courteous, respectful, completely listen to what you have to say and have the splendid ability of putting that into reality.   We were blessed to have them in our home for nearly four months and give thanks for their determination to put things right for us.   Please do not hesitate to use them, you will not, I promise, be disappointed.'   Jean Shrubb - existing customer.

' I had long considered block paving to replace the unsightly and visibly deteriorating concrete sections of my own driveway, but had been put off by a £24,500 quote given some years ago by a well known national home improvement company.

My interest was revived when a close neighbour was having a new resin driveway laid. Despite issues with delayed deliveries of base aggregate and resin bonding, he was full of praise for the groundwork team who were prompt, hard working and diligent when on-site and who did their part of the work extremely well.

He introduced me to Andy (the team leader), Mark and the rest of the groundwork team. Looking at Andy's impressive portfolio of work - notably in Norway - I quickly realised that Andy certainly knew what he was talking about when it came to both stonework and groundwork. Andy is a professional with extensive masonry and groundwork skills and Mark has considerable property maintenance experience who can fix anything you throw at him. They were both very enthusiastic about being involved in my driveway project and suggested options and enhancements to improve its kerb appeal.

Andy duly came and measured up. He quickly said that my groundwork costs would not be very high as I already had a concrete base, all of which would be dug up and part of it broken down to be used as the new base, with the remainder taken away FOC by a local company who would also supply the required Types 1 and 2 aggregate plus bulk sand.

My initial concerns and questions regarding heights, levels, soakaways, DPCs, drains, water puddles. run-off and underground pipes/cables, were all answered in detail and confirmed when Andy eventually did a full survey using his professional laser levels

Andy gave me a quote for his crew's daily labour cost for the estimated two weeks of the project which I paid at the end of each week, and I paid directly for all materials and plant hire and fuel.

Andy held my hand at every step of the project. He produced a project plan detailing what would be happening on each day, right down to when he wanted each delivery, and even where he wanted each pallet of blocks or load of aggregate placing to save unnecessary time and effort for his crew. He gave me details of a national block paving supplier where I could choose, order and pay for blocks online He also accompanied me to the local material and plant hire companies where he ordered materials, a digger, a breaker and a compactor.

After two weeks of hard graft in surprisingly good weather the result was a stunning block paved driveway at under half the previously quoted cost and without all the unnecessary sales commissions, national network support costs and executives in shiny suits and high-end company cars.

I also have to add that this is the "happiest" crew I have ever encountered - they clearly enjoy doing what they do and working alongside each other. Good humoured banter never in short supply - and without the usual embarrassing coarse language you get from a lot of workmen.

Well done Prime Paving - a professional job well done!' David Anderson - existing customer.
